Can’t believe this….it feels like out of nowhere, I suddenly have to find a new place in one week (ie. Oct 1) or else I’d be forced to sleep in my car under a bridge somewhere with ALL MY STUFF.  Been starting my mad scramble yesterday to find a new apt / room to stay in (albeit at higher rent charges than what I had at my current place).  And after emailing two people that I found off of craigslist.com, I got calls back from them in the afternoon to arrange times to take a look at the places.

One is a place on Rupert, a 5min walk or so from Skytrain, and close to Costco and Superstore (the place just off Grandview) for only $380!  Would have to share a basement with another tenant who is also to be decided, and all utilities and wireless internet is included.

The other place is closer to Broadway and Oak, and i would be living in a 72 sq ft “room”, a windowless corner of the living room of an apt that would soon be made into a room once the person builds the walls.  $350 including utilities + half for deposit (the standard), but NO INTERNET.  Guy’s got a sweet 50″ LCD tv w/ cable or satellite, and he’d be out most of the time due to his 80hr weeks….so there could be fun times to be had playing Katamari on it =D

Anyways, so far, out of those two, the former sounds like a better choice.  But there’s still no solid guarantee that I can get either place, and time is running out and I can’t afford to be stuck in limbo any longer.  Since all that, I’ve replied to about 4-5 other places, and intend to call a few more places in the morning.

…man….full-time work, WHERE ARE YOU?!?
