さよなら, Adieu, 안녕

Wow, I can’t believe it. 8 quick months in Vancouver. And just when I was getting used to things here and having good times w/ friends, and meeting new people especially recently, now I will have to leave.

My new job should be good, with its offered salary and benefits, and once again, a chance to start fresh and start out my career and things like that, but it’s going to be really weird. Moving to a place where I practically don’t know anybody.

But instead of feeling sad for what I have to leave behind, perhaps it is better to look back with fondness of the good times I’ve been able to have here, and then be able to look forward to what is ahead of me and where I’ll go from here. It is not like the people I’ve been in contact with are just going to disappear off the face of the Earth.

Anyways, I only have a mere few days left before I drive back to Edmonton once my parents come this way to help me with my extra stuff. Gotta make sure I finish packing in due time so I can also enjoy the last moments with people here….and the Lower Mainland as a whole.

Stuff to do:
- Call up select apartment managers to schedule some open houses during the first week there.
- Get my offer letter (ETA tomorrow) and apply for work visa at the border (assuming I don’t need my degree to apply, otherwise I gotta do it when I fly out)
- Arrange rental car for first little bit before I can buy a car (after parents come to visit me to help out since they helped everyone else get a car)
- Finish packing….once I get those extra boxes
- Dump off Allen’s desk and stool I still have from the old apartment
- Possibly see some other peeps one last time on Friday
- Milk my final rounds of Spikeout and Drummania =( I will miss you my precious DM!

If There’s Time:
- Finish all the pictures I’ve taken this month and distribute to people before I leave and get cut off from Internet for potentially weeks
- Arrange a mini one-day snowboard outing w/ my Whistler EDGE Card…but I doubt I have the time or willpower to pull that off o_o

Thanks to all who came out for me tonight especially on such short and after Reading Week, during more MTs and assignments, I was really impressed to say the least. I hope you guys don’t fail because of me. AND I PROMISE TO GET THE PICTURES DONE BEFORE I’M GONE! FOR REALS.

This will probably be my last post before I head off to Edmonton, let alone NJ. But updates will soon follow once I’m all settled in!
